Celebration Children Conference
Ms. Allen was a presenter at the 20th Annual Celebrate Children Early Childhood Conference. The conference was sponsored by Prince George's County Office of Childcare with over 1000 childcare providers in attendance.

Teacher Appreciation Week
We all know that our teachers go above and beyond the call to ensure that quality and sustainable learning is nurturing.
We take a moment during Teacher Appreciation Week to share our gratitude for their monumental work.
Thanks to our parents for donating over $1500 towards a week long of gifts.

Spring Festival
At our Annual Spring Festival on May 20th, parents, staff, children, and community partners joined us for a Day of Fun!

Kite Day
Kite Day was a fantastic opportunity to introduce our children to the fascinating world of kites.

Pre-K Prom Night
Star-studded Hollywood Prom theme was perfect for transporting our 2017 Pre-K Prom to the charming and exciting streets of Hollywood.
Children headed into the Prom on the red carpet complete with lights flashing and paparazzi waiting in the wings. Hearing the cheers from the teachers and parents clamoring for an autograph.
Evidently, our pre-kindergarteners felt like they were on their way to receiving that much-coveted Academy Award!
The night was fantastic. A special thank you to the Executive Producers, Ms. Robin and Ms. Raven and the rest of the team for an extraordinary evening.

US Chess Federation rated, Queen of Katwe Chess Championship |
Austin Carter,
1st Place Winner
|
Meet Austin, a third-grader at Greenbelt Elementary and a member of Themba Chess Club.
Austin loves the game of Chess and just started playing this past September. Austin's very first exposure to chess was when he joined the Chess Club at Themba.
Under the guidance of his teacher, Mr. ElShabazz, Austin has become a formidable player --with an ever growing passion for the game. Austin studies, and practices an hour each week and often reads on game strategies and other aspects of the game.
He is readily willing to help his classmates to understand the game. During afternoon sessions at Themba, you may find Austin working with his classmates.
At a recent Winter National Championship tournament, Austin won first place in his section. We congratulate Austin for an excellent performance and encourage him to continue with his passion for learning the game of Chess.
Next step, grandmaster!
