Happy July, everyone!

As we begin a new month in this wonderful Summer season, I am happy to share with you some of the exciting learning and activities that have happened in our school community.

I First would like thank all of our parents for the continued cooperation with Themba policies and procedures. A special thank you to our staff for continuing to deliver outstanding service and upholding the Themba Exceptionalism.

As always, a warm welcome to the new families that have joined us since the last newsletter. Please introduce yourself and make them feel welcomed.

The month of June has left us with some amazing memories. Below are a few images and brief synopsis of those experiences. Remember to visit our facebook page for more pictures.

Spirit Week

Spirit Week
From getting super silly in our wacky tacky gear to dawning our Sunday's Best for our Annual Tea Party, Spirit Week at Themba was a blast!

We relaxed in our comfortable pj's for Pajama Day and showed team spirit for Class Color Day. So much fun, we can't wait for next year's spirit week activities.

Pre-Robotics Camp

Robotics Camp
Exploring the world of STEM through engineering and robotics was a fascinating experience for our Pre-Camp students.

Campers received their “License to Build” while designing and building a structure for shelter and programming their very own robot!

Dance Recital

Dance Recital
Our dance class students were excited to show off all their hard work and fancy dance moves they learned throughout the year.

Teachers, parents and our Themba families came together at Perrywood Elementary School to witness our little ones display their new skills and we must say they did an awesome job!

Thank you to our teachers for guiding our students throughout the year and for coordinating this year's recital.

Featured Story -- Graduation

"Graduation is a time of completion, of finishing, of an ending, however, it is also a time of celebration of achievement and a new beginning." - Catherine Pulsifer

As we gathered on June 16the to celebrate our graduates the atmosphere was filled with positive energy, a few tears and the joy of accomplishment felt by all in attendance.

Throughout the year our pre-k students exceeded expectations with a passion for learning. They bravely conquered their obstacles and grew by leaps and bonds. What a wonderful occasion!

The ceremony began with a procession of our graduates that led to a series of poems, songs and speeches from our students highlighting their hard work and what they learned during the year.

Parents and Themba staff delivered heartwarming testimonials marveling at the progress of their children while emphasizing their love of Themba CLC.

At Themba, we take pride and great pleasure in shaping the minds of our youth while preparing them for the future. With Elementary School on the horizon we are not only proud or our Pre-k graduates but we are beyond positive that they will continue to achieve and conquer their dreams.

A special thank you to our Pre-k teachers Ms. Elizabeth, Ms. Raven, Ms. Aisha, Ms. Simin and to our parents for their continued support and contributions to the classroom throughout the year.
